Questions & Answers
Everything you might want to know about walks, boarding, and how I care for your dog.
What areas of San Francisco do you serve?
I cover southern San Francisco including the Excelsior, Bernal Heights, Portola, Visitacion Valley, Bayview, Hunters Point, Noe Valley, and Castro neighborhoods. Pickup and dropoff are always included.
Do you offer solo walks or only pack walks?
Both. Pack walks are great for social dogs who enjoy group outings. Solo walks are ideal for seniors who need a slower pace, anxious dogs, or dogs who do better one-on-one. I also offer 30-minute solo walks for quick potty breaks and exercise.
What is your experience with senior dogs?
Senior dogs are a specialty. I have years of hands-on experience fostering and caring for senior rescue dogs. That means patience with mobility issues, administering medications, understanding cognitive changes, and adjusting walk pace to their comfort level. Pet stairs are set up throughout the home so seniors never have to jump.
What does boarding look like?
Your dog stays in my home in the Excelsior District, not a kennel. They have access to couches, beds, and a fenced backyard. It's a dog-centric environment designed to feel like a home away from home. I only board a small number of dogs at a time to ensure personalized attention.
Are pickup and dropoff really included?
Yes, always. I pick up your dog from your home and drop them off after the walk or boarding stay at no extra charge within my service area. It's part of making the experience as easy as possible for you and your dog.
How do I book a walk or boarding?
The easiest way is to schedule a consultation through the booking page or contact me directly. For walks, we'll do a meet-and-greet first so I can understand your dog's needs. For boarding, we'll discuss dates, routines, medications, and any special requirements.
What happens if my dog needs medication?
I'm experienced with administering oral medications, eye drops, and other routine treatments. Just bring clear instructions and enough medication for the stay. I treat medication schedules seriously and keep detailed notes.
